Moving to Korea is exciting. The paperwork? Not so much.

International students spend an average of 40+ hours navigating bureaucracy before they even arrive.

😵‍💫

Visa confusion

D-2? D-4? E-2? Different docs for different consulates. One mistake = weeks of delay or rejection.

🏚️

Housing nightmares

전세? 월세? 보증금? Korean rental systems are unlike anywhere else. Viewing apartments without Korean? Good luck negotiating.

📱

The phone catch-22

Need a Korean number for everything. Need an ARC for a number. Need an address for an ARC...

🏦

Banking barriers

Most banks turn away foreigners without the right docs. Wrong branch = wasted half day.

🗣️

Everything is in Korean

Lease contracts, IKEA deliveries, utility bills, doctor visits, landlord texts — you need someone who speaks Korean to get anything done.

😰

Info overload

Reddit threads from 2019. Outdated blogs. Conflicting advice. You just want someone to tell you what to do.

Your personal Korea landing helper

Kii was born from a real story — of a girl who left Seoul at 18, landed in New York with two suitcases, and wished someone had been there to help.

I was you — 7,000 miles from home

K-Landing wasn't built from a business plan. It was built from experience.

In 2009, I left Seoul at 18 to study Film & TV at New York University. I'd studied English my whole life — even took the SATs to get in. But nothing prepares you for actually living in a language that isn't yours.

The first night in my NYU dorm, I sat on an unfamiliar bed, staring at a city that felt impossibly big. I didn't know how to open a bank account. I didn't know where to buy bedsheets. I didn't even know how to use the subway.

🌃 NYC nights, lonely but beautiful

New York was thrilling — but also deeply lonely. I was 20, far from family, navigating everything in a language that wasn't mine. Visa paperwork. Landlord disputes. Doctor visits where I couldn't explain my symptoms.

I wished someone — anyone — had just told me what to do. Step by step. In a language I understood. With the empathy of someone who'd been through it.

What saved me wasn't a guidebook — it was people. Friends who showed me which trains to take. A senior who helped me negotiate my lease. A stranger who walked me to the immigration office.

Those small acts of kindness changed everything. They turned a scary city into a home.

After NYU, I built a career in Seoul — from CNBC Asia reporter to leading global real estate strategy at a Fortune 500 firm. I've lived the full arc: confused international student → Seoul local who knows how everything works.

Now, K-Landing is the service I wish existed when I was 18. A bilingual friend who handles the hard parts — so you can skip the confusion and start living.

Because no one should have to figure out a new country alone.

Common questions

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 8 weeks before your departure. Visa processing alone can take 2-3 weeks, and we want to give you plenty of time for document prep. That said, we've helped students on tight timelines too — just reach out.
What universities do you cover?
We have guides for 50+ universities across Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, and Daegu — including SNU, Yonsei, Korea University, KAIST, Sogang, Ewha, Hanyang, and many more. If your school isn't in our database yet, we'll create a custom guide for you at no extra charge.
Is this just a PDF guide?
No! While you do receive a comprehensive, personalized guide document, the real value is the concierge support. You get direct access to our team via KakaoTalk and email for real-time help with any questions or issues that come up.
I'm not studying — just traveling. Is this for me?
Yes! Our Trip Planner and Travel Concierge packages are designed specifically for travelers. You'll get a customized day-by-day itinerary with restaurant picks, transport tips, and hidden gems — plus real-time KakaoTalk support during your trip if you choose the Concierge option.
I'm not a student. Can you still help?
Absolutely! We also help digital nomads, English teachers, and anyone relocating to Korea. Our core process is the same — visa, housing, banking, phone — just adjusted for your visa type and situation. Reach out for a custom quote.
Do you help with housing directly?
We provide housing search guidance, neighborhood recommendations, and contract review — but we're not a real estate agency. We help you understand the Korean rental system (전세, 월세, 보증금) and connect you with trusted resources so you don't get scammed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and select local payment methods through our secure checkout. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase if your personalized guide has not yet been delivered. Once a guide has been delivered, refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please see our Terms & Conditions for details, or email [email protected].
